Cole Hersee plastic solenoids are constructed of glass-filled nylon, making them extremely light weight and durable. They are naturally resistant to corrosion compared to traditional metal housing solenoids. These plastic solenoids are resistant to high or low temperatures (-40°C to 60°C) allowing them to be used in a wide variety of applications.
Del City now offers plastic solenoids in intermittent duty or continuous duty. The intermittent duty solenoidsare rated to 200 amps and provide a large amount of power fora short period of time. The plastic intermittent duty solenoid is SPST, normally open with an insulated coil and two 10-32 studs. The plastic continuous duty solenoids are rated to 100 amps and provide power for a long period of time at a lower amperage than an intermittent solenoid. The continuous duty solenoids are SPST, normally open with insulated coils. Del City offers the continuous duty plastic solenoid with either two blade contacts or two 10-32 studs. The intermittent and continuous duty solenoids are typically used for starting small engines including lawn tractors, golf carts and sweepers.
